If you are reading this blog and you don’t have a smartphone, you probably shouldnt be doing so.
Anyways, its all good!…I mean..if I were in your shoes I would still do so.just for the Knowledge of it.
Now!. If you have a smart phone and it cannot read a QR code then………………….ok, that doesnt matter.
But really, there is a new rave about smartphones and QR codes.
A QR code is something like the picture right there, not the Ralph Lauren part of it.
Meanwhile QR means ‘Quick reponse’.
Its basically for encoding and storing information which could be text,urls,.. or any form of data at all.
It could be used for advert purposes, or for authentication purposes…(pardon my techy words…I know some of you are non-techy).
Most blackberries can scan a Quick Response code (you need the app). You can get someone’s pin from scanning their phone QR code on their screen using your camera. (you don’t need the app)
Was at conference recently and I saw a guy brought out a sheet with a QR code on it; and I asked..
“Did I just see a QR code?” [pls don't say 'uhn uhn'..you know yourselves]
He says “Yes..I just want to give this a social twist”. That’s another use…**are u pondering what I am pondering??**
Today, QR codes can come on almost anything, even your complementary card and you could link it to your website or anywhere that’s got more information about the object its on.
So next time you see a QR code… you should just grab your smartphone..(make sure its smart enough) and take a shot of it with the camera using the QR application on your phone.
Its only logical to say a phone/device without a camera lens cannot read/scan a QR code.
