Before you go on.. Here is the first part

RIM- makers of your phone(blackberry)–[*u pro’ly use a blackberry, ‘m 75% certain.**] and the ‘still new playbook’.. held a forum.

In a nuts’ some eye opening stats were released, as well as some insights…

 

  • Local Content Drives Sales; contents that are totally applicable and specific to users is what they want.
  • There are 49M+ Blackberry messenger users
  • 4MEG. [4mb] is the maximum size of data [text and pictures, I guess] by an average BBM user, the Highest RIM has observed, and its tied to Nigeria. [damn! what re we saying on chats...]

    Google Nigeria

    It was more of Product showcase.
    Everything centered around 1 google product or the other.

    Points:

    Google Place– Put your business on the Map.
    Google Adwords — Make money from Ads. Admob for mobile.
    Google Maps — Customise your maps and utilise it in apps and also Play with Google earth.
    Google Webmaster tools– tools, analytics e.t.c
    Google Trends-view search trends. Could be useful in some decision making

    On the Technical Scene: Appengine was talked about. A platform to build scalable web applications
